It’s been a long road but I made it to the end of this semester and I got to say this class was very inspiring.

When I first started the class I won’t lie I was scared and nervous because everyone seemed like they had an idea of what they were doing and was very passionate about it but for me, I feel like I have really nothing.

But then I realized that I’ve always been passionate about games and I had a website already making blogs about video games and was doing my little rants on Facebook so why not make a podcast and talk about it and after doing some research and watching how one of my favorite YouTubers black Hokage does his podcast and seen another podcaster/blogger by the name of Black TARDIS talk about Doctor who I came to the conclusion that I do have an idea of what I would love to do for the rest of my life and that is being a podcaster.

The road wasn’t easy. There was a lot of procrastination because I have never done a podcast before, and I didn’t know if anybody would even like it or even appreciate it. Still, after seeing so many people work and having everybody push me to make a pilot episode of the Degenerates Among us, and Surprisingly, people really respond nicely to it and give feedback.

I’m very grateful for not only having my friends to help me with this big ambitious project but taking this class because it really helped me figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life and remind myself that if you’re passionate about something go for it even if it seems impossible….. You never know what could happen.

I enjoyed this class, there were some tough questions I had to ask myself. My Big Goal is to become an Artist/Content Creator. It has taken me some time to get my aesthetic right, and I definitely need to work on creating a better fanbase. But I will say my path has become somewhat clearer. As a person who can be hard to fit in one box, I was having trouble seeing where I wanted most of my energy to develop, content-wise. Future peers made me see where I can be and possible outcomes. Linkedin showed me where I should invest my time and find networks similar to mine. I will be looking into more internships, currently looking for a creative space that’s making big moves. Everything helped, especially talking with my group, I wish everyone the best in their future endeavors.

My final proposal is far from over. I actually need to keep doing the project and perfecting it; however, based on all the feedback I got, I can tell you right now this podcast will be the best podcast you ever listen to

For those that don’t know what I’m doing, a gaming podcast called the Degenerates Among Us, and This podcast is designed for everybody to watch. the main goal is to educate people on what’s going on in the video game industry but also, most importantly, to have fun, so please check it out

I want to give a special shout-out to Professor Michael, Anna, and Sifat for really pushing me to do the podcast because I was procrastinating/fearing to do it, and seeing the amount of feedback and support was really shocking, so I appreciate the push so thank you.

I have learned how to do many things such as blogging, creating email inquiries. Finding a connection to people to Linkedin. Recently I have reconnected with my past co-worker as an email inquiry. I have always asked to request to go back to my old job. I have decided to help out my previous job. So I have sent him a Linkedin as an email, I have to go on to use Linkedin to communicate with him. My other goal is to try to get many feature jobs like web design position and reach out other people on LinkedIn. That was helping a lot. I have shared my resume with them and my URL. I would like to continue working on my website to share with viewers to make it interesting.

This class has helped me in many ways. Im a person that usually takes it one day at a time, but this class helped me gather my thoughts today and actually set a goal. I wasn’t sure where I was headed or how to get there but taking this class made it seem less scary.

I learned to search for people that work in the post production field. I want to work in various aspects in that field, such as a Camera Operator, Editor, and much more. I Recently learned how to use After Effects and aim to become skilled enough to use my skills in the workplace. The more skills you have, the more valuable you are.

There are many things I have to do, such as search for an internship, reach out to them, develop a proposal,. I have more time on my hands so I will commit myself to crossing items off my checklist. Most importantly, I want to develop a digital presence, when I finish my other tasks, I will work on this be developing my own website, forming my own website.

I will use this post as well as other classmates posts as a guideline on what I have to do!!. My classmates are very intelligent people and I am inspired by how detailed their goals are.

I’m really happy I have taken this class because it really made me think on what I want to do after college. Having to pick a career is stressful but knowing that were able to plan everything out for it in this class makes me feel a lot more secure.

For my digital presence I have chosen LinkedIn and Instagram. LinkedIn connects me to different people in the digital marketing and brand designing. I will be able to see who I can connect with and what their position is. On Instagram I would be able to have a easy “portfolio” I would also like to learn how to use Adobe Illustrator and Procreate this break and create How To’s for the Instagram account. Not only will people, companies, and upcoming brands see my designs but they’ll be able to see what software’s and applications I use in order to create flyers, logos, websites, etc.

This break I have created a time line to create my first piece for my portfolio. Currently, I am submitting internship applications and awaiting responses.

The person I chose was an artist that goes by the name of “earnest.” He is a singer/songwriter and content creator. I’m a fan of the aesthetic and the effort he puts in. I feel I’m able to apply some of his techniques to my work while improving my style. My final project proposal is far from over but I have an idea of what I want to do. I want to make a documentary about a beat maker, and how it has impacted his life. In this documentary, I will explore his upbringing, how he learned his craft, and the valuable life lessons it has taught him. I will illustrate his passion for making beats and bring it to life with him film.

I began forming a blueprint for this documentary in my google slides, but I never finished. However, I had the hindsight to take notes which triggered my memory about a conversation Professor Michael and I had. My slide hardly contains any information but it is a start !!!, and a start is better than not starting at all. I have examples of other final proposals and I will use them as a reference !!, I have a plan, all I have to do is implement it and apply myself

In my search for peers, that started off as Film Production Assistants, I came across a few people.

Brandon Kaplan has experience as a Freelance Editor, Office Production Assistant, and much more. His linkedin page consists of many ventures and experiences working for different people that he culminated throughout the course of his life. He worked at CBS as a Freelance Editor, where he spent time editing promos for tv shows such as the Big Bang Theory and Celebrity Undercover Boss. His Vimeo page consists of many promos that he has worked on. I personally want to be able to go from place to place picking up new skills along the way !

My second candidate is Devon Halliday, She spent many years working as an editor for various jobs. In addition, she is an editor for one of my favorite shows, Blue Bloods. One of my main goals is to become an editor, but to reach that goal I have to start of as a Production Assistant. By looking through her linkedin page, I see how much time and effort she put into her craft. She spent 2 years working as a Post Production Assistant before finally working as an assistant editor for CBS. She has a Vimeo that contains most of her content, such as short films and so forth. By looking at her discography, I realize that it might take some years for me to develop myself and achieve my goal.

Both candidates are future peers that I have identified and are closely related to the path I want to career path I would like to pursue.
