Looks like today’s post should be a little refreshing for myself and for my readers. I’ve missed two classes so far this semester and let me just say I’m not exactly happy. I wouldn’t say I like my life to be perfect all the time but I can be a perfectionist! Sometimes, that drives me crazy if I let it. Anyways, I have so many goals I would like to accomplish short and long. lately, I’ve been analyzing a lot of direct cut shows and videos between instagram and cable tv. I also got in touch with another collie from school who is on YC radio station and I think this would look cool on my resume and beneficial. I want to look at these goals as baby steps into something beautiful one day. I would love to have my own TV show on network. That would be an awesome experience. Our goals is as strong as our mind! If you want something you have to go out there and strive for the best.
During this lesson for my search for somebody I might want to connect with in the near future I learned that it isn’t east finding somebody that catches my eye. I started to look of producers and assistant producers for reality television shows because that is my concentration television production. I came across Sally Ann Salsano who is an American producer. Sally was the producer for the Jersey Shore. She was raised in Long island. Her first company was called 495 productions, which was located in Long Island. I thought was a great pick, until I had my choice reviewed and realized she is bigger in the industry. Sally Ann won’t be easy to connect with, so I am going to search the companies that are more lower than her. I am going to do some more research on her company and see what I find. I learned a lot during this research process because this showed me my future is up to me and how I come about it. If I settle for less and do no searching I won’t reach my goal in the industry. Looking up companies connected in my field that I can probably connect with in the future is on step closer than what I already was.

finding your future peers
searching for people through the recommended sites didn’t really help as much. i found people with interesting roles, but once i wanted to click on their profiles and such, there wasn’t really too much information to obtain which was a let down. i was recommended to reach out to a fellow york graduate just because she is into the same thing i am currently trying to achieve. we even had a few classes together and i have always been amazed and in awe of her work and whatever she presented to the class. hopefully in the future and with much more practice, i can perfect my crafts and do well.
Week 3 – A Daunting task
Well, this was a very frustrating day. Just when I think things were going to be easy and I know what I want to do it turns out I don’t know where I’m going.

I know I love games and I also love talking about them so I thought doing a podcast would be easy until I realize there’s a lot more that goes into podcast than just talking and saying cool things but it’s way more to it than that
You have to be a good blogger which requires you to write and you have to say interesting things which I feel like I’m only on the base level when it comes on to all of those things, it a lot to take in and this is only the beginning.

On the bright side I can’t say I have a little bit of experience of doing blogs thanks to school and also my word press website gamersmaycare.com I used to blog (maybe I should continue blogging on it) and I recently looked up some gaming blogger on a website called Destructoid
Other than that, it’s been really hard to find someone who focuses on the podcast on a junior level. Most of the big ones I listen to like sacred symbols and gaming Illuminati have experience people are usually experienced.
Overall this has been a very frustrating moment, but weirdly, it’s made me more focused on what I want in life, so I don’t know if I should give the professor props for pushing me or go cry in the corner…..or both

plotting on my future
my main goal is to work in the film industry as a camera operator or a position where I can also help edit videos. Today I searched up a post production assistant by the name of Devon Halliday. As I looked through his LinkedIn, I saw that he interned at many places and gradually worked to the point where he is a post production assistant for the show Blue Bloods!!. I often worry about my future, but looking at him makes me realize that things take time and opportunities will come to you if one works hard for them.
LinkedIn or peer support
I had started doing internship in two years ago. I have used my peer supported group job developer to assisted for internship/job related which I ran to in CUNY leads program to get additional supported ideas how to find a job or a internship. beside attending to leads support they told me to create a LinkedIn account to find a internship in the last year. When I created a LinkedIn account there was different jobs to find / people that you can connected from work place, friends, York collage students . The support group told me you can contact anyone in company in LinkedIn when they are opened to or you can send them request. In my past expectance I needed to have more connections to people beside have a LinkedIn program. So you can go to job fair which I big advantages from it to get into internships. Once I got this advantages I got into internship which is CUNY internships programs. In my research I am currently close towards graduation. I have getting more response from job recruiters them my internship in the LinkedIn. But you still have to website or attend job fairs events.
Working with peers
Hello all I hope everyone is hanging in there with the circumstances we are in. I hope that I become very successful in life and I will just have to push the extra mile. Taking classes are easy..whether it is history or technology or whatever class you take but finding that one or two goals that you see yourself doing in the future is the hard part honestly. I didn’t find any people at all but I did some research today just to see what else I can find but professor Michael did suggest that I can reach out to professor Nelson (she is so helpful when it comes to animations) and a classmate that recently graduated to ask her any questions that I had to things I had in mind. I will do those things soon so I can really figure my life out!!!
Linkedin was cool ngl
I did my research on the popular music platform COLORSXSTUDIOS. I found useful information on Paul Lorton, an audio engineer located in Germany, who worked with many mainstream artist. In his feild of work, he is in charge of tracking and mixing the vocals for their show. However, after hearing what my peers did to research, I realized it is also important to see growth of the person you want to intern with, and to have a great portfoilo of work of your own. It is essential for others to get a better understanding of who you are, as well as your online presence.
Ultimately my motivation is to be employed. My preference would be to use the skills I have acquired on my educational journey to work in media, Public Relations, or Communications.
I think my strength lies in my ability to speak and write well, why not capitalize on those skills now, I am sure more will follow.
Other things that intrest me are music, and video. Getting involved in a production company would be another good way to get experience in that field.
Overall my diversified background will allow me to pick and choose whatever I want to do.
Role models
I was grouped with Breanna and Camryn we talked about our future peers and ways to connect with people in the industry of interest. Camryn mentioned Bumble.biz, a platform to connect with people who are in your field of interest. I have listed Kaya and Rebecca as my future peers because they are working with production companies right now. I also didn’t know who Wendy Finerman was, so I googled her and was surprised to find that she is a major player in the film industry.
I also took the opportunity to send messages to Kaya and Rebecca via linkedin just to chat about their experience in the industry. I don’t know if they will respond, but I am hopeful.
