This class was amazing!! I had a class like this when I was in high school but of course, it was not taught like this class at all. I came into this class wondering well what kind of things am I going to make for my portfolio. I was totally wrong with that information but I am content with the things I’ve learned. I feel like I am still a bit lost when it comes to my future because I learned so much in college that I’ve come to love. I feel like I will always bounce around until I am concrete with a profession. Professor Micheal Smith has always been a great professor and it was great to have him break down things in the real world. From internships to goals in the future, to how to write a professional email to future people we may want to work with. I appreciated everyone in my group that guided me in my final project and what I can work on or options I can consider, including Professor Smith. Thank you everyone for a great semester we did it!

This has been a wonderful opportunity to look more into our future goals. It’s always good to know what you see yourself doing in the future, but it’s also good to know what is that thing you want to focus on. I think I finally know what I want to put myself into. Maybe it’s not so clear because I’ve learned so much about different aspects of technology and I have a little idea of each thing. From HTML< CSS<JAVASCRIPT <MOTION GRAPHICS <UX DESIGN. The only one I find myself not connected to is JavaScript because to me it is pretty challenging getting things to run the way you to. HTML and CSS you can play around with and get to your designated goals. When you are animating you are in your own box animating as you please knowing what each tool does and that takes a while but I enjoyed making animations without coding. If I don’t end up doing HTML/CSS I want to create logos or animation in the future and I want to get better at what I do. It’s pretty hard landing an internship when you haven’t had the working experience but I am still looking if I don’t get into an internship I will have to replace the class. I decided that I will start a Codepen to showcase my HTML and CSS skills, over the break I will try and make more mini projects to see what I can make.

So today’s class was really important because it helped me reach out to potential people I can be working with. I was happy to speak with an intern at this place in LA but it is remote and I am glad. I hope to get a call back about the position if not I’ll always be looking out for more internship opportunities and if any of you guys have internships for me pertaining to web design I’ll be happy to look into it. Since I was hopeful to actually speak with someone about the company I will need to rewrite my email inquiry so it will be a follow up to the person who owns the company. My partners inquiries were good plus their research but the professor questions to my partner had me thinking.

Hello all I hope everyone is hanging in there with the circumstances we are in. I hope that I become very successful in life and I will just have to push the extra mile. Taking classes are easy..whether it is history or technology or whatever class you take but finding that one or two goals that you see yourself doing in the future is the hard part honestly. I didn’t find any people at all but I did some research today just to see what else I can find but professor Michael did suggest that I can reach out to professor Nelson (she is so helpful when it comes to animations) and a classmate that recently graduated to ask her any questions that I had to things I had in mind. I will do those things soon so I can really figure my life out!!!

So coming to the college level I never knew what I wanted to do so nearing the end of my college road I think about my future everyday. Class was good reading about what everyone wanted to do in their future life was really amazing. It was good to read that people actually know what they wanted to do and I felt like I was clueless at this point. I did find some websites to start my research on : Web Design, Motion Graphics, web animation, integrate motion with web design. These were just some websites that I found out that were pretty interesting for me to look into more soon to narrow what I wanted to do because I really think that I wanted to fuse motion graphics and web design together.

I wish I knew exactly what I wanted to when I finish college but I am stuck between exploring more motion graphics stuff or being more so of a web designer or I can have the best of both worlds. But what I am hoping to do is maybe work with commercials or even work with clients to build their websites or more so just animate. I can also do web animations for sites or even make my own app! As you can see I am all over the place but I hope to stick to a more concrete idea and that is all guys.

If anyone reads this and can help a girl out with her goals it would be pretty beneficial to me seriously!!

The first class of this portfolio class was not so bad. We reminisced a little about the past and the classes we had. I had good and bad experiences at York college. I came in York college not knowing what I wanted to do all I knew was that I more of a tech person. So my junior year I knew I wanted to go into this CT Program and here I am enjoying all of this. I hope this class open my eyes further into my future!! Great first class so far though!

I recently in the month of November made a presentation pertaining to what I want to on my future life. I finally have vision as to what I would like to achieve. I see it but I have put it into visual presentation. This is the link.
